Meet Alyson Ryan, Sr. Center Manager of our Brighton, MA location. In this post, she shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the local Brighton community unique.
Where are you located?
We see a wide variety of patients within the Brighton location from families, students, and working professionals. Our Brighton location offers both immediate and primary care, which allows us to treat a wide range of issues from cold & flu symptoms to annual check-ups. Being open on weekends also allows us to see and treat patients when other places are closed, so we have a mix of regulars and walk-ins!
What types of patients do you see?
We are located in Brighton Center on Washington Street right next to the Boston Police Department. Our convenient location is also very close to local colleges - especially Boston College and Boston University - and Boston Medical Center is just down the street.
What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?
Brighton is a neighborhood within the city of Boston and right next to Allston, another section of Boston. Surrounding cities are Cambridge, Brookline, Watertown and Newton.
What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?
My favorite thing about working at the Brighton location is the amazing team. The Brighton team is a team that truly cares, builds relationships with their patients, and provides a warm feeling to the clinic. The neighborhood also has a positive and cozy vibe to it with little cafes and mom and pop shops.
Any tips for first-time patients?
For first time patients, I’d want them to know that they can park in the municipal parking lot between the Boston police station and Carbon Health. Street parking is also an option. Depending on the time of day, if they have time they can grab breakfast, lunch, dinner at one of the many restaurants around us. Walk-ins always welcome!
How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?
We are members of the Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Allston Brighton Health Collaborative. In the summer and fall months, our team enjoyed participating in the Brighton Farmers Market.
