Meet Nancy Berumen, Center Manager of our Placentia, CA location. In this post, she shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the local Placentia community unique.
Where are you located?
We see a diverse range of patients in our urgent care. We regularly care for teens who come in for school or sports physicals, families from the surrounding community, and individuals seeking support for common illnesses or minor injuries. We also serve many local employees and businesses through workplace health services, including occupational medicine and workers’ compensation visits. Overall, our clinic supports patients of all ages and needs within our community.
What types of patients do you see?
We are located in the Village Center at Rose shopping center, between Alta Vista and Rose. You can find us right next to Sake Sushi and Banc of California, making us easy to spot and convenient for the community.
What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?
We primarily serve the community of Placentia, Yorba Linda and Brea and the surrounding areas. With the beautiful Alta Vista Country Club right across the street, we’re conveniently located and easily accessible for patients coming from Orange, Anaheim, and even as far as Fullerton.
What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?
My favorite thing about working at this location is the strong sense of community. Placentia has a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere, and we get to build real connections with the patients we see. Being surrounded by local businesses, schools, and long-time residents makes every day feel meaningful, and it’s rewarding to provide care in a place where people truly look out for one another.
Any tips for first-time patients?
For first-time patients, we want your visit to be as easy and stress-free as possible. We have plenty of parking available, especially since our clinic is located on the corner of the shopping center, giving us more open space than the other businesses in the shopping center. We’re also very easy to find—our location is clearly visible from Rose Street (see pic below). Just check in at the front desk when you arrive, and our team will take care of the rest.
How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?
Our location is actively involved in the local community through partnerships and event participation. We work closely with the Brea Chamber of Commerce and regularly attend events in both Placentia and Brea. Over the years, we’ve been part of community gatherings like Taste of Brea, the Placentia Tamale Festival, and many other local celebrations, helping us connect with residents and support the neighborhoods we serve.
Any local ties?
All of our staff are from the surrounding areas, including Orange, Anaheim, and La Habra.
