Meet Kenia Basurto, Center Manager of our Rancho Cucamonga, CA location. In this post, she shares a closer look at the clinic and what makes the local community unique.
What types of patients do you see?
At the Carbon Health urgent care in Rancho Cucamonga, we care for patients of all ages, from as young as 6 months old through adulthood. Our clinic primarily serves families and young adults in the community, so we see a wide variety of visits ranging from pediatric illnesses and school physicals to everyday urgent care needs for busy adults and parents. We strive to provide convenient, compassionate care for patients at every stage of life.
Where are you located?
Our clinic is conveniently located in the heart of Victoria Gardens, right off the 15 Freeway and Foothill Blvd along the iconic Route 66. You can find us within the Victoria Gardens shopping area, making it easy for patients to stop by while shopping, dining, or commuting through the area.
What are the main cities or neighborhoods you serve?
We proudly serve patients from across the Inland Empire, including Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Ontario, Rialto, Upland, and Alta Loma. Our convenient location near the 15, 210, and 10 freeways makes us easily accessible for surrounding communities and commuters alike. We’re also located about 15 minutes from Ontario International Airport and close to the Metrolink station, making our clinic a convenient option for both local residents and travelers.
What’s your favorite thing about working at this location?
One of our favorite things about working at this location is the atmosphere at Victoria Gardens. There are so many great restaurants and shops nearby, which makes the area fun and welcoming for both patients and staff. We also love seeing our regular patients and being part of the community. Most importantly, our providers and medical assistants make up an amazing team that truly cares about delivering great patient care and supporting one another every day.
Any tips for first-time patients?
Parking can sometimes be limited since we’re located in a busy shopping center, so we encourage first-time patients to make an appointment and arrive a little early. Our clinic is easy to find — we’re right next door to See’s Candy and Verizon, conveniently located between The Cheesecake Factory and Brio Italian Grille. You can’t miss us!
How is Carbon Health involved in the local community?
We’re proud members of the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce and enjoy being actively involved in the community through networking events and local partnerships. These events give us the opportunity to connect with local residents and businesses while sharing more about the urgent care services and patient care we provide. We also partner with local employers to offer occupational health services such as work physicals and drug testing. We’re excited to continue growing our community involvement and have some fun events planned for the summer, stay tuned!
Any local ties?
Our team has strong local roots in the Inland Empire community. Our Center Medical Director was born and raised in Fontana, just next door to Rancho Cucamonga, and one of our nurse practitioners is also a Rancho Cucamonga native. Many of our team members live nearby — some just 10 minutes away and most within a 20-minute drive — which helps us stay connected to the community we serve every day. We also love supporting other local businesses, especially grabbing team drinks from our favorite local tea spot, Sharetea!
