At Carbon Health, we believe that good healthcare should be accessible to all. One of the ways we make this happen is by uniting a team of people dedicated to giving the kind of care we want for ourselves and our loved ones.

We’re honored that our amazing team members chose to work with us. So we asked some of our physicians and physician assistants to share their reasons for joining Carbon Health.

Here’s what they said:

Q: What drew you to Carbon Health?

Holly Stabler, PA-C

After nearly four years working in emergency medicine, I was instantly drawn to everything about Carbon Health — the leadership, the aesthetic, their response to COVID-19, and their desire and initiative to make healthcare more accessible. I had several friends already working for Carbon who had nothing but great things to say about the company. My husband works in the technology industry, and I love working for a company that merges medicine and technology — it is truly the future of medicine.

Lindsay Goldman, PA-C

As a new PA looking for my first job during the pandemic, I decided that I really wanted to get involved with the COVID-19 relief efforts. When I realized that Carbon Health had partnered with the Los Angeles Fire Department and CORE to vaccinate Los Angeles, I knew I wanted to help the cause. I had heard amazing things about Carbon Health and how much they value every employee, so this was the perfect opportunity to join the team.

Neeru Singh, MD, Regional Clinical Director

I worked as a hospitalist and in leadership for several years, and I was looking to work at a healthcare company where I could practice medicine, be a leader, and improve healthcare.

B. Leonard Perkinson, MD, MSA, Regional Medical Director

What drove me to Carbon Health was their mission of service and desire to provide high-quality, cost-effective care to everyone. What has me so excited about being a part of Carbon Health is the blend of technology with the delivery of healthcare. I truly believe that the way we provide care will become the standard in terms of how urgent care and primary care are delivered on a national scale.

Vik Jayadeva, MD

I was drawn to the integration of technology into the clinic space and great clinic staff.

Q: What is it about Carbon Health that you enjoy as a clinician?

Lindsay Goldman, PA-C

As a medical response PA with Carbon Health, I have had the opportunity to respond to urgent medical calls in the field, and I have truly enjoyed that this position has allowed me to work in a fast-paced, hands-on clinical setting. I’m so impressed by how much Carbon Health values collaboration between their clinicians and is always looking to improve operations while maximizing patient satisfaction and safety. At Carbon Health, I feel that all employees’ input is sought, our ideas are heard, and these suggestions are implemented to bring about positive change.

Neeru Singh, MD

The one thing that I love about being a clinician here is that Carbon Health always puts our patients first. In addition, they try to see how they can streamline processes that make the clinician experience and workload focus more on patient care and doing that efficiently. I also love that we have an in-house product team that builds our EHR from clinician feedback. That is so rare in healthcare.

B. Leonard Perkinson, MD, MSA

The collaborative nature of the practice is refreshing. For the first time in a long time I honestly feel that my ideas, my concerns, and my voice are not only heard but also taken into account and woven into the changes that we are creating in how we practice and provide high-quality and compassionate care to our patients.

Vik Jayadeva, MD

The model is what attracted me to the company, but it was my coworkers who prompted me to accept the position. Carbon Health feels like a family.

Q: What values are important to you and how do you experience those values at Carbon?

Holly Stabler, PA-C

There are many values in a workplace that are important to me — communication, respect, efficiency, positivity, optimism, and progressiveness being a few. Carbon Health carefully chooses their team members to reflect these values and more on a daily basis.

Lindsay Goldman, PA-C

I value working in a collaborative environment to deliver the best possible patient care. It’s very important to me that every person is treated equally and is never deprived of the medical care they need and deserve. Through my experience working at the vaccination sites, it’s clear that Carbon Health upholds these values, encouraging teamwork while providing the vaccine to all who qualify.

Vik Jayadeva, MD

Providing good care is very important to me, and Carbon allows me the freedom to care for my patients along with the support network to run challenging cases by other clinicians.

Is there anything else you would like to share about your experience working at Carbon Health?

Holly Stabler, PA-C

Carbon Health has been great to me so far, and they are always striving to be even better. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to work per diem on the virtual team as well, and I love the flexibility of being able to work from home at times. Carbon Health is by far the most supportive and progressive company I’ve worked for as a PA!

Lindsay Goldman, PA-C

I could not have asked for a better way to begin my career as a PA. Carbon Health has demonstrated a perfect balance between having trust in their employees’ knowledge and competence while also providing resources and assistance when necessary. I’m proud to be part of this team!

Neeru Singh, MD

I have been at Carbon Health for almost two years, and I feel like it has truly been the best two years! It has definitely been hard work, but with the help of the wonderful teams we have and amazing leadership, I was able to work on improving how healthcare is delivered nationwide. I have also been able to grow as a leader and help shape the future leaders of Carbon Health! I have never been happier, and I feel so lucky that I get to work here.

B. Leonard Perkinson, MD, MSA

Though I am new to Carbon Health, I am not new to medicine and the delivery of care and its administration. I have been an educator and have been teaching medical students and residents for my entire career. Carbon Health’s commitment to education, the development of resources, and its commitment to developing initiatives and programs like their women’s health initiative is a large part of what brought me here.

I have worked with and for many organizations over my career and Carbon Health feels very much like home! It is exciting to be in an organization that is working hard to uplift health care and its delivery to everyone, as well as being at the forefront of changing how the delivery of that is viewed on a much larger scale.

Thank you to all of our Carbonauts for taking the time to share some of their thoughts with us. We are so grateful for your dedication to serving our communities and are honored that you are a part of the Carbon Health family! Are you interested in bringing your talents to Carbon Health? We’re growing rapidly and have many open positions in primary care, urgent care, and virtual care
