Best practices for flying during COVID-19

  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, do not travel.
  • If you have been in contact with someone who has been experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, do not travel.
  • Wash hands regularly or use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol while at the airport and on the plane.
  • Wear a mask or face cloth that covers your nose and mouth at the airport and through the duration of your flight.
  • Check-in online and download a mobile boarding pass to avoid contact.
  • Use a carry-on suitcase if possible.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • Maintain 6 feet of distance while at the airport and when boarding the plane.
  • Do not congregate if waiting for the restroom while on the plane.
  • Use sanitizing wipes to wipe the armrests, tray table, and seats in your immediate area.
  • Bring an extra bag to store used wipes.
  • Pack your own snacks and a reusable water bottle. Fill up at contactless water filling stations at the airport before boarding.
  • Wash clothes when you get home.
