Best practices to follow after a possible COVID-19 exposure

  • Monitor for symptoms every day.
  • Self-quarantine for 14 days or until cleared by a clinician.
  • If symptomatic, get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible.
  • If asymptomatic, testing is most accurate on day 5 or later.
  • Leave the house only if absolutely necessary.
  • If living with others, follow the CDC’s guidelines for separating those who are sick.
